Cubs

Develop new skills. Soar to great heights. Being a Cub opens up a whole other world.

Cubs is open to young people aged 8-10.5 years old and gives the opportunity to try lots of different activities such as swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting.

The Cubs are organised into smaller groups called Sixes. The Sixes are known by different colours and made up of a mix of age ranges. Each Six is lead by a “Sixer”.

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. And camping with the rest of the Cub Pack sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
