Northcote is a very large group and we really need your help to let more young people experience the adventure of Scouting. All our volunteer opportunities are flexible. Some may be able to give their time most weeks as part of the team of leaders in a section, while others may be able to support when it works for them for example with administration or gardening.

These are our current vacancies

  • We’re urgently looking for a Group Lead Volunteer (GLV) or volunteers to help lead our Scout Group. You don’t need any prior experience of Scouting to apply for this role as any necessary training and support will be tailored to your needs. A large part of this role involves managing and supporting adult volunteers, including those working directly with young people. We’re looking for someone or a team that can grow into the role. If you have some of the skills and the drive and enthusiasm to develop Scouting at the 26th Bristol, you could be the person we are looking for! Please complete the form below to discuss the role or find out more.
  • There are also opportunities in all of our sections for Team members to support any of our weekly section meetings. Use the volunteer form and let us know the best evening for you.
  • Media and communications to help with website and termly newsletter (2 hours per month from home)
  • Administration help in sections to help with OSM, payments etc (2 hours per month from home)
  • General maintenance as required to fix things around the building (3 hours per quarter, very flexible)
  • Gardening – we have gardener to cut the grass but need help keeping weeds down, pruning hedge & shrubs, planting summer boarders (2 hours per quarter, very flexible).

If you are interested in applying (or learning more about) any of the volunteering roles please complete the form below and we’ll contact you.
