  • Opportunity will be given for the scouts to explore Bardonecchia in groups to buy gifts, etc.

  • Leaders will be in the village at all times to police the this activity.
15
"Fully comprehensive winter sports insurance"
  • Fully comprehensive winter sports insurance.
  • Insurance details can be found on the Group Website.
  • If you feel that you wish to obtain your own additional insurance please feel free. However this policy is very good and covers all eventualities.
16
Personal Electrical Items!
  •    Generally on any scout trip we say NO to any electrical items. We accept that owing to the time away and lengthy journey that scouts may wish to listen to some music or play a game. The conditions for allowing personal items on this trip are as follows.

  • The individual scout is responsible for their own electrical equipment, this should be named, any serial numbers should also be noted before departure.

  • The insurance will not cover any loss, damage or theft.

  • The Leaders and the group will not accept any responsibility whatsoever for personal electrical equipment.

  • Mobile phones are not allowed on this trip. If anyone needs to contact the leaders in the event of an emergency they should go through the home contact system and they will contact us on your behalf.

  • We are hoping to organise a blog on the group website, this will allow you to read messages from the scouts and see how they are getting on, we hope to update this daily.

17
PASSPORTS
  • Please ensure that your child has their own passport and that it has more than six months before it expires at the time of departure.
  • Scout Leaders will take possession of the passports throughout the trip.
18
"We will be splitting the..."
  • We will be splitting the group into groups of similar ages, whilst away from the mountain and during après ski.
  • Leaders will be assigned to manage each group.
  • This will be a similar set up to UK Patrols but with more suitable names, probably mountains! Everest, Eiger, etc.
19
BEHAVIOUR!
  • As you will appreciate we want to make this a fantastic trip for everyone for ALL the right reasons. Because of this we have put together some simple rules.

  • We expect all scouts to be on their best behaviour, polite and respectful of other people and their privacy.
  • We will not tolerate bad language or aggressive behaviour.
  • We will not tolerate any behaviour which may result in any damage to any property. If any damage should occur as a result of such behaviour, parents will foot the bill. Clearly any unforeseen damage is covered by our insurance.
  • If a scout’s behaviour is such that they are uncontrollable to the point that it disrupts the entire group they will be informed that if the behaviour persist they will be sent home. If the scout continues in this course of conduct  after being warned then the parent's will be told to collect the scout from Italy and return them to the UK at their own expense.
  • The decision to remove a scout from the trip will be made by all leaders, it will be a very final resort.
  • This will hopefully never happen. However to safeguard the success of the trip you must be made aware of our intentions.
